Installing on Windows

  1. Open the downloaded AVESTEIN Connect Setup.
  2. If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway. (Our installer isn't signed with a paid Microsoft certificate yet.)
  3. Follow the installer, open AVESTEIN Connect, and sign in or create an account.
  4. Installing a plugin asks for permission once, because plugins go into the shared VST3 folder.

Installing on a Mac

  1. Open the downloaded file and drag AVESTEIN Connect into Applications.
  2. Open it. If macOS says it can't check it for malicious software, open System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to AVESTEIN Connect. (It isn't notarized by Apple yet.)
  3. Sign in or create an account. Plugins install for your user, so macOS doesn't ask for your Mac's password.
